ABOUT THE PROJECT
As part of a platform upgrade, we had the opportunity to redesign the Virtual Wallet Inside the Wallet blog. I worked with the blog manager to assess what features we wanted to add that were now available with the upgrade. I also did an competitive analysis of other blogs that were hosted on the platorm to get a better idea of what we could do and how much we could actually customize to design the optimal experience.
I started with a number of sketches on paper, which I continually refined after reviewing with stakeholders, to get a better sense of what layout and flow would work best within the framework of the new platform. As we had more defintion on the blog content, I produced some hi-fi wireframes to help us see how the content would look on the page and what priority we wanted to give to different features.
The previous blog design followed the look and feel of PNC Online Banking and with the redesign, we wanted to take cues for the visual design from the newly redesigned pnc.com. I created the final visual look and feel to have a more modern design taking into consideration various limitations and to be more in line with the direction we were going with digital design at PNC.
